I took my desire to get into the sun a little too literally. I finished reading a terrible Asimov story about murder in a Chemistry Department called A Whiff of Death. The only problem was that I read it outside... all morning... in the sun. I think if I had called it a day right then and hid indoors from then on I would have been fine. I can make this assumption because it's only the parts that had another three hours of exposure in the afternoon that are really very red.

Kaz and I decided to go on an adventure and find our way to R:tAG's workplace. This would have been fine if we had consulted a map a little more seriously. Instead, we decided to explore this park a little bit, and then we got turned around, and took a few unexpected detours. A trip that was supposed to take 30 minutes ended up at 75 minutes. We arrived exhausted and baked.

Do you know it gets really hot here?

So, we looked through all the offices, admiring the toys and the pretty concept art that lines almost every bulletin board in the place. We played around with stuff in development, met some really cool people, and then, braved the sun again.

My skin hates me. But! We saw a little lizard in the undergrowth, lots of ducks and, as usual, about a million palm trees. Some say that they grow here.

I have been slathering aloe vera on my burned areas pretty religiously, so I hope I'll avoid peeling. When we head out doors again in any serious capacity, I'll make sure to put on some sun screen.

Good to see you on your trip out - visit again soon!

Carl: It was fun to see you, even though I think you caught us during a bit of a drunken night.
