Watch Me Write!

So this whole NaBloPoMo thing is actually kind of kickin' ass so far. I've had no problems writing something every day, and knowing that I have this entire buffer of topics to use whenever I feel dry is pretty kick ass. The Rook has asked for requests over at his blog, and he wrote up a lovely Layman's Guide to Lollygagging for me yesterday. I will follow his lead and pick the first of my reader-inspired ideas to expound upon today: That's right, it's "Screw You, Rilla: Suzi Joins the Challenge" day.

This is Suz. She's been my friend for about six years. I know that's not very long in the grand scheme of things. To say she's competitive does not necessarily capture the essence of how Suzi feels about competition. She loves competitions. She eats it up for breakfast. But it's weird, even though she loves a challenge and seriously wants to kick ass, she hates it when she gets too aggressive about a competition. I mean she loathes it. So, most of the games that we play actually are cooperative games so that we can all compete together and support and help each other. That's just the kind of gal she is, she likes to support and help people.

Some people might say she's nosy, and you might want to toss the word meddler in every now and then, but she can't help herself. She wants to help. I myself have said, "stop meddling!" and she's said, "NO!" And then we laugh.

But anyway, back to the "Screw You, Rilla" part of everything. This girl takes her challenges seriously, you see. Rather than giving me food for thought, she's keeping all of her food for thought to herself. And she's a thinker. You'd think she'd have some to spare, but no, she's that serious about NaBloPoMo. She started practicing for NaBloPoMo right after she started talkin' smack. So far, my favorite posts are "Brain 'Splosion -- Almost" and "Bubblegum Radio".

But you see what I did here? She said she wouldn't give me any ideas, but I found one from her anyway. See? Aren't I smrt. We'll see who's gonna win. Oh, yes. We'll see.

I remember that particular meddling. It was a good day. And it's totally because I love you.

suz: Thanks, Suz. You know I love you too.
